Funding and Withdrawals — What You Need to Know
To protect your account and comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, GoldSilver requires that all deposits and withdrawals match the name and account type on your GoldSilver account. Here's what that means in practice for all non-IRA accounts.
Your bank account must match your GoldSilver account
The name on your funding bank account must match the name on your GoldSilver account exactly.
EXAMPLES:
Individual account named Jane Smith → fund from a bank account in the name Jane Smith
Trust account named The Smith Family Trust → fund from a bank account registered to that trust
LLC account named Precious Metals LLC → fund from the LLC's bank account
This applies to all account types without exception.
Withdrawals go back to where the money came from
For the same compliance reasons, withdrawals can only be sent to the bank account that was originally used to fund your account. You cannot withdraw to a different bank account, even if it's in your name.
If you'd like to add a bank account for wire withdrawals, you can do so under ACCOUNT → BANK ACCOUNTS → WIRE WITHDRAW. Note there is a 48-hour hold on newly added accounts before a withdrawal can be processed.
FinTech accounts are not accepted
We do not accept deposits from or send payments to FinTech platforms including Wise, Revolut, Chime, Cash App, or similar services. This applies to both incoming deposits and outgoing wire withdrawals. If you attempt to fund from one of these accounts, the transaction will be rejected.
We accept funding from traditional banks and credit unions (U.S. and international SWIFT wires).
What happens if there's a mismatch?
Transactions with mismatched account names will be flagged and may be delayed or rejected. If you believe your situation warrants an exception, contact our team — exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis and may require additional documentation from our compliance team.
