Does GoldSilver charge sales tax on jewelry?

GoldSilver currently only charges sales tax on jewelry which is sold and delivered to residents of the State of New York. Because GoldSilver sells its jewelry over the internet and does not have a “nexus” or physical presence in any other state, it is not required to charge sales tax on jewelry sold and delivered to any state other than New York. However, the state in which you reside may charge a “use” tax on your jewelry purchase. Use taxes are enforced on a state by state basis, so check the rules of your state or consult your tax advisor to find out whether use taxes will apply to you.
